Sort of like one of those dreams where you are trying to run from something and can't.
In this case, Micky the Lamb is trying to run from Death (in the form of a looming cross) but keeps sliding on the bars of soap. Meanwhile, Farmer Brown (or at least the half-bird Farmer Brown) is hollering something to him in Japanese which, because he doesn't read Japanese, he can't hear (again, another feature of that sort of dream).
