Jessica - are they not grubworms (or some kind of worms) in your slice? They look like them to me. Sorry if I misconstrued them.
As for the jewelry, I just meant that the repeating bit of the worm, or whatever it is, in Jero's slice kind of looks like a silver chain ending in a coin pendant. Perhaps not jewelry per se, but a lot different from the bit it continues.
