I like how the planes were picked up again in panel 3. Good job, everyone!

Meeplecheese, that's a really tasty starting slice!

Shae at March 15, 2007 9:36 AM

Ha! I just realized that was Leif Garrett in the third. I was SO in love with him when I was twelve.

Shae at March 15, 2007 9:39 AM

"Look mummy, there's an aeroplane up in the sky"

Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the
promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue
sky?

Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
The flames are all gone, but the pain lingers on.

Goodbye, blue sky
Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.

"The 11:15 from Newcastle is now approaching"
"The 11:18 arrival...."

Annnnnnnd That was Goodbye Blue Sky from Pink Floyd. Next up on Corpsin to The oldies hour we have Leif Garrett's I was made for dancin.

This is PatchWyrk Star at WCMS. The time is now 11 o'clock.

What a great corpse! I, too, was very impressed with Jessica's clever use of the plane from the upper panels that make a woven-like pattern. WOW.

Who is the girl in Jessica's panel who got brand new bling shoes in panel 4. It is great.

I think Fiera did a cool job keeping the theme and color going and instinctively chose a pink dragon and the Flamingo is another pink flying creature.

Krazy Kaz, I love the color splashes at the bottom and the skirt and legs is so funny. I like how her legs just melt into the big shoes.

Hey, great PINK FLoyd words, too. They fit in here too.

Taj at March 15, 2007 3:53 PM

I have learned my lesson about using words. Rarely does it work out. I feel the need is done so well that graphically it is part of the design without overwhelming it. The last corpse I looked at before this one, with the long German speech, and Nazi salute is exactly the kind that I think the big block of text really ruined it for me.

I love the black devil costume.

Dor at March 15, 2007 3:59 PM

That girl, Taj, is none other than Shae's big childhood crush, Leif Garret. I was 8, I think, when Feel The Need came out and shattered my hitherto crush. From then on it was all Shaun Cassidy. Still is, frankly, as long as I repress that Hardy Boys era and focus instead on American Gothic and Invasion.
Anyway.

Look at that fabulous title. That sounds like a fun way to spend a Thursday night: I'm going to go try most emphatically to burn some feet of fire right now.

Jessica at March 15, 2007 9:21 PM

"Who is that girl"...

Not the first time that's been asked about Leif Garrett, I assure you...

Shae at March 16, 2007 7:46 AM

Cheers Taj, the legs are my flat mate Stuarts dressed as a chav in role play. I love bright colours. how was your feet of fire burning Jessica? Love the flamingo. I cud have got it joined up better, bit of a line there, sorry guys, but my colours make up for it I hope.
