Dammit dammit dammit. A seam. I'm sorry guys. *hangs head in shame* The other panels are fab, though. damselfly - I love yours. I'm sorry I didn't quite do it justice. :/

The seam appears to be more of a color management/assignment than a real seam, by general definition here.
It still works. It provides an interesting dimension, angle, and movement to the piece.

Indeed, what Mirojie said. The seam is not a major issue. I'm happy that you carried on the elements and made a cool slice!

My eyes see it as less a seam than an edge that gives it a cool warped dimensionality.

Les: Did the panel you submitted have a color profile assigned to it, and (even though I keep getting told it doesn't make the difference) is the DPI from the 15 pixels you received the same as the panel you submitted after the fact?
I think color profiling (so many entendre's, so little time) tends to tweak us all at one time or another.
Regardless, the more I look at this corpse, the more I like it, and primarily, because of the depth your seam produced.

Miroje - I'm honestly not sure what the color profile or DPI were of the slice I received. I no longer have it on my computer, so I can't check... The only major issue I see now (on a different computer) is the darkness of the black. I was purposefully trying to give the slice dimension, but I wanted the lightness to match. I suppose it heightens the effect of the dimension that it's darker, but I would have liked it to match at least a little better.
I'm glad it wasn't too big a failure anyway. Thanks for your feedback, guys.

It doesn't really look like a seam, Les, just an angle - you took it to another dimension. Not bad, not bad at all. Mine was not one of my best, anyway. You gave it a little flair.
