I think this one turned out pretty good! The panel 3 people look like they're either worshipping the big eyes of panel 2 or the multi-armed Nixon above that. Very interesting!!

only my slice seems a bit odd in the whole.. although the slogan at the end kinda fits with it.

The white lines are due to the strip that I got had a white line at the bottom of it.. I thought it might be that there were more or something. Oh well

Buy Yours Now! Politician?

Au contraire, I.c.e... I think it looks just fine!

Loving it, tidewriter!

This one's a keeper.

Awesome flow in this one.
Not sure if the stretchy people are worshipping the big boobs or tricky dick, but the slogan at the bottom brings it all together. Very nice.

I know they're meant to be eyes Angieelz, but I prefer the concept of Nixon blossoming out from cleavage... Nice work!

tidewriter at November 22, 2006 12:43 PM

That concept works for me, tidewriter! All in all, I'm liking this one. :)

did my previous post get deleted? or am i going insane?

unapologetic at November 22, 2006 2:32 PM

Unapologetic, I think it got caught in the spam filter and I accidentally deleted it. We got a bit of a spam storm over the past day or so and I was furiously fighting it off. I missed seeing that one of the comments in the filter was your until the instant I hit the delete button.

Phineas at November 22, 2006 3:02 PM

oh. well, that's okay then. it was a pretty silly comment anyways, the world is probably better off without it. heh.

...and Phineas, thanks for keepin' us spam-free! sometimes it's easy to forget what a labor of love this is for you, until a little glitch in the matrix pierces the veil. Really appreciate all the work you do for us. Hope you're having a happy holiday. :)

Well said, un, Thanks Phineas.

I take responsibility for that white line at the end of the panel, thus your slice to work from. I thought I had fixed it. I'm so sorry. In this case, though, I think you did a great designing solution for the flaw...lemons to lemonade, and all that.

Wonderful, and it flows together nicely. I like corpses that aren't so busy that the panels end up canceling each other out. This one avoided that pitfall and so is a much better overall design.

I recall the day Tricky Dicky was elected pres. I cried. Then, to watch the Watergate scandal and trials unwind on TV that summer...daytime TV! It was great. This reminds me of that.

Angeleese, I saw eyes, not boobies. The lips flowed so nicely from the 'face' making the cave entrance. I could see the point of view of the newly created couple worshiping the Divine Mother...but Nixon doesn't jive with that mix...I don't think.

Good job everyone, and it was great fun working with y'all.

Hey all. I'm a late-commenter due to the holidays, but I just wanted to add something to the above discussion.

I have sometimes managed getting a slice with a glitch in it (like the white line mentioned above) by drawing over the 15 pixel strip rather than appending it (as provided for in the rules). I usually won't do this, because I like to preserve my predecessor's intentions, and I want my full 200px. But it's one way to deal with a built-in "seam".

That said, glitches happen, and ICE, that was a great way to deal with it too.
