At long last, here it is: number 2 in my Dictators series. You've seen Baby Hitler; now feast your eyes on Transvestite Stalin!
Well. I love all the pieces in this corpse. The cartoony feel of the bottom, with the birds, Pooh and Garfield is intriguing, and kudos goes to Kookyknut for that jaw-dropping transition into plants and steps. Good one, everybody.
My piece: I'm not taking the piss. Well, I am a bit, but not in the way you might think. I don't mean to insult transvestites by associating them with Stalin; if anything I'm trying to humanise him, though I don't know why I should. I got the idea for the piece reading this passage in "Breakfast of Champions" by Kurt Vonnegut:
"Harry LeSabre ... was a secret transvestite. On weekends he liked to dress up in women's clothing, and not drab clothing, either. Harry and his wife would pull down the window blinds, and Harry would turn into a bird of paradise."
