So that's what's underground!

i love the color scheme in the first three.

my favorite panals are the first two
what can i say,
theres a spot in my heart for open desert road driving

i got a different impression of the color scheme from the slice I recieved and so my section looks a little too colorful. I was however, correct that the oval I was given was in fact scissor handles and matched them up nicely. Love that. That and the mysteriously cut yarn.

Beautiful work in the first 3 panels!

Wow -- I love the use of simple lines in this one. The telephone wires, the fence, the woman, the thread. Way to tap into the collective unconscious, you kids!

Those scissors would be tricky to use, though.

mmm orange

Very nice. I like the splash of color at the bottom.

I love the third panel, and I think it gives it interest after so much coordinated-like orangy browns.

Also, I like how a theme developed, fibre, wire, thread, hair, and yarn.

As a whole story, I see a safe young woman in her fallout shelter keeping busy until the radiation is gone. What can I say, it's scary times.

oops, I meant fourth panel, Miriams? But the third is beautiful, too. Nice overall comp.

Highway at October 11, 2006 2:39 PM

Wow - I like this.
All four pannels offer something different, but I do like those three fingered scisors!

Quackling at October 11, 2006 3:21 PM

Nice corpse. Everybody did a fine job! Panel four is especially good as it is crisp, clear, and colorful, far transcending the cut and paste stuff posted frequently lately.

jakedrews at October 11, 2006 3:24 PM

first corpse... YAY! love it. hugs for everyone

kookyknut at October 11, 2006 5:06 PM

I like the above and below aspect of this corpse, from the sky in panel 1 to underground in the bottom 2 panels.

The top half is very atmospheric. The bottom is rather fun.

mjhoward at October 12, 2006 6:19 AM

This one is great. The top two panels are gorgeous and the rest of it is very cool too.

Mjhoward, great minds think alike.

P.S.: That naked woman should knit herself a sweater before she gets cold.

Shae at October 12, 2006 7:22 AM

A nice slice of underground life! Beautiful colour and the telegraph poles are great. Really nice work, thanks for making it.

reed at October 13, 2006 7:54 PM

Contest time: Can anybody tell me what makes this corpse so special compared to 99% of the rest? A rare bird indeed.

chasethelight at October 16, 2006 2:37 PM

Alright, no one... It's an eyeless corpse people!! Long time comin'.

chasethelight at October 17, 2006 2:55 AM
