Wow, and to think I was totally not excited about the slice I received. I think this is one of the most hilarious and poignant corpses I've worked on.
Our focus on male masculinity in the realm of sports is really just a replacement for bloodsport. While we pretend we want to see maleness as it is embodied by the champions, it is really a desire to see blood! gore! carnage! And apparently sex (two love on the circuit?)!
I feel special, and a little dirty.

What kleinertigre said, with emphasis. Cracking corpse.
I see CHD is back in jake's slice.

Patrick, if you look back you'll find CHD in every one of Jake's panels. CHD never left, and in fact, as been joined by Jake's other child, TMD.

What's our focus on *female* masculinity in sports a replacement for, then? (I've never cared much for tennis champions, but I'll have to reconsider given this new enemy-drinker status.)

Fun corpse! And fun commentary - little TMD is now a whopping nine weeks old. Moon passed me a fine slice with just enough info for me to guess the "tennis" theme.

wish i could have blended the center tennis ball better. not one of my best slices, but the finished product is nice.

this is awesome! I'm just learning this game myself....

.... I mean the 'corpse' game.
zoren at October 2, 2006 11:34 AM
who're CHD and TMD? (hehe...he said whore.)
benny at October 2, 2006 4:27 PM
(hehe...he DID say whore!) CHD and TMD are my sons, current ages one and zero. My neighbor thinks we named them after Coronary Heart Disease and Temporomandibular Disorder. How's that for some real fun!

Let me just say, starting corpses after Wimbledon is hard. :) I just couldn't think of anything, so just had to go with what was on my mind at the time.
I like how this all turned out, though!!
