An Exquisite Corpse

This gets pretty Fresh Prince-y in the middle and I considered stepping it back, but Jojo's done other good Corpses, so I was hoping maybe he/she'd explain just what happened here.

It's odd, but i don't know if i'd go so far as to call it a faux-pas of Fresh-Princian proportion... that blue block in the center, perfectly reflecting mj's blue water, definitely seems to indicate some real intent on Jojo's part... curious to hear the reasoning behind the rest of it.

in other news, WOW. Shelly knocked that last slice out of the park. EXCELLENT continuation.

This one come out all that great, has it?

My slice probably didn't give jojo many clues to work on.

The one I started from had a seam pretty much built in - the bottom half of the 15px was all white, but at least was able to guess there was water in it.

mjhoward at September 18, 2006 9:17 AM

That's "hasn't come out all that great".

But Kudos to Shelly on a great atmospheric finish.

mjhoward at September 18, 2006 9:18 AM

Sorry for that built in seam. First corpse here, and the WAY the 15 pixels works suddenly dawned on me after i submitted.

I thought the next artist would be able to mess with the 15 pixels. Now I know better.

i love the klingon babe at the top.

Shelly did score beautifully. The second half is so clean it looks like an ad.

damselfly at September 18, 2006 11:42 PM

Pixelrevolt, the next artist can choose to alter the 15px strip and incorporate it as part of their 450x200 panel. It's up to the individual whether they do this or not.

In fact, I did edit your strip to remove a couple of tiny grey lines from the bottom half of the 15px, as I preferred the way my panel looked without continuing them.

I *so* missed the notification that this finally posted! I've been waiting to see how it looked - and *yay*! I guessed right! It *was* a telephone pole! Go me!

I actually kind of like this one. to me, the first panel is the one that looks off - because everything else is so....blue. But I still like it. (You can never go wrong with Klingons!)

...and thanks for the compliments too - I feel all gooshy inside. ;)
