I was worried that my slice was going to be horribly out of place in this one. I inherited a pure black slice to work from, so I just did the first thing that came into my head.
In the end, it is out of place, but not in a bad way. I think keeping it relatively simple helped.

The use of color in the first three panels makes me melt inside. In a good way.
