An Exquisite Corpse

Love the lunar texture and Magrittian Nefertiti mask ( remind's me of the cloudy sky painted Napoleon deathmask he did)
in dagfooyoo's slice- and Poncho Man's is very smooth too.
Great sense of depth opening to the body of water.
Leurrve all that symmetry.
Very mesmerising.
mattb.. are you a little angry at the world?
In a nice way!

OUTSTANDING!!!!

My new favorite. In the midst of simplicity, there's so much going on here. Extremely elegant!

murfinator at May 4, 2006 7:08 AM

Very Beautiful. Great transitions. My new Favorite!!

Wild........ at May 4, 2006 7:19 AM

Phenomenal! You're all geniuses.

It even makes up for the over six weeks since I've got a slice to work with.

Jim at May 4, 2006 7:31 AM

That is fucking awesome.

amyc at May 4, 2006 7:47 AM

Deliciously evil and compelling. I wouldn't be surprised if those double-jawed creatures show up in the next Wes Craven movie.

Great transitions. Fabulous, end-to-end! This one goes straight to the screen-saver collection.

FogBaron at May 4, 2006 7:51 AM

Spectacular. Everybody has done a great job. This medium really comes alive when each panelist turns in a quality piece. Sweet transitions, too! The dagfooyo - Poncho Man seascape continuity is nothing less than a knockout! This is simply stunning...

jakedrews at May 4, 2006 8:17 AM

Now, who is your favorite star wars musician? :)
good work guys, very nice.

slinkachu at May 4, 2006 8:39 AM

Good lord, that's just plain sick! Jessica, dagfooyo, and Poncho Man - I bow humbly before you. Excellent work, amigos.

And yes, Andy, I am more than a little peeved at the world these days. Aren't you?

Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...

cheers,
mattb

mattb at May 4, 2006 9:02 AM

Exceptional work -- I love the transitions.

Miroje at May 4, 2006 9:47 AM

Woo!
I love what you did to my Egyptian soccer fan, mattb.
Also the elemental nods - the smoke and firey sort of background, the earth-by-proxy lunar bits, the water, and the dissolve into airy ether.

Jessica at May 4, 2006 11:35 AM

Sweet work everybody! An honor playing with you all, Jessica, mattb, and dagfooyo. Too bad I didn't make my circut board thing into a maze, like in the first panel. Guess I missed that vibe.

I never saw THAT creature in the cantina scene. What a hat!

Oh, and doesn't that title just roll off your tongue?

Poncho Man at May 4, 2006 12:20 PM

Awesome work, Jessica and MattB! And Poncho Man, I couldn't have asked for a better continuation of my slice. Absolutely beautiful! The circuit pattern is perfect. After all, circuits are mazes for electrons.

Beautiful all around. Truly a corpse I'm proud to have been a part of. :)

dagfooyo at May 4, 2006 1:31 PM

Super, super good.

doctormatt at May 4, 2006 10:44 PM

What you all said - and - I really like the moon textured lower lefterly hand/Nefertiti cown.

Nice work all.

aberling at May 5, 2006 12:22 AM

Congrats to all, very nice work !

Bernard Dumaine at May 5, 2006 1:50 PM

very good. very good.

billporter at May 6, 2006 6:07 PM

Each of you made a strong statement, beautifully done!
Dagfooya:I keep going back to your egyptian profiles. Oh, man, I wish I could do stuff that good! It is beautiful piece of art all by itself, too.The faces are so well done, and the neon woven lines are so graceful.

Jessica: Your first panel is amazing! Very vampiric, and gothic beauty oozes all over.I love the maze and get a spidar web feeling from it.

Mattb: The double mouthed fingers are hysterical. What cool transitions. Were you surprised when you saw Jessica's beautiful lady?

Poncho man: your panel nicely grounds it. I like your techno-lines finish. I think if you would have picked up on Jessica's maze instead of your clean, straight, direct lines would've made the whole piece redundant. This tells such a good story.

Thank you All for sharing your beautiful work :D

Dor at May 9, 2006 9:33 AM

Thanks Dor!

I'm glad you like the double-mouthed finger toppers, though I don't find them as much funny as absolutely terrifying.

And yes, I was pleasantly suprised to see Figrin D'An wearing such a beautifully voluptuous headpiece. I wish I had done a litte better on that part of the transition... Alas, poor mattb.

I'm really proud to have been a part of this corpse. This game is more fun than a pocket full of hamsters and gummi bears.

mattb at May 9, 2006 2:37 PM

... I've decided this corpse ranks among my top nine favorites of all time.

jakedrews at May 13, 2006 9:20 AM

i like how this one is sort of.. gothic themed, and incorporated in it are both natural and technological elements. very good corpse!!
