oops.. I seem to have made a mistake somewhere. and I am usually pretty good with the seams, I think I got my pixels out of whack :-) Maria P is a bada$$... really awesome panel.

Yeah, you weren't the only one.

murfinator at April 26, 2006 8:11 AM

I am confused by the 2:3 seam. A lateral shift has occurred. Could it be that panel 2 was submitted exceeding the 450 pixel width and the CMS passed along a right-justified strip to player 3 while finally publishing the left-justified elements of panel 2?

jakedrews at April 26, 2006 8:59 AM

The guy in Shell5058's panel seems confused by the seam-shift also.

(lilah still seems confused by the whole concept...)

FogBaron at April 26, 2006 9:14 AM

yeah i'm a bit disappointed by this...but the last two panels are awesome lol

kvasir at April 26, 2006 9:34 AM

oh and there was definitely some sort of weird shift between 2 and three...i mucked about in paint for a minute and got this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/tridelvior/lateral.jpg

kvasir at April 26, 2006 9:44 AM

Hey Shell5058, that was the best little strip one could hope to work from! thanks for your comment.

No, one of the first checks on the uploaded image is on the dimensions of the piece. An image is accepted only if it's 450 pixels by 200 pixels. So all of the individual images were the proper size. I just rechecked the images and confirmed this.

jima at April 26, 2006 9:53 AM

gracias, jima. I wonder what happened?

jakedrews at April 26, 2006 10:14 AM

It almost looks like Shell's peice was made too wide (both in actual physical width and in proportion to the slice above), and then shrunk to fit the 450. Kvasir, does that make sense to you, considering whatever you did to make it fit?

Shae at April 26, 2006 11:18 AM

scanner darkly trailer?

billporter at April 26, 2006 11:59 AM

shae- i just cropped it so that it looked smooth in mspaint...didn't have any other programs to work with at the time.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/tridelvior/lateral0.jpg

its a shift up and to the right to make it fit
weird

kvasir at April 26, 2006 1:26 PM

I think Robin Hood is confused over whether it's really a good idea to grab the knob this time.

Bon-dyage!

Colin Vincent at April 26, 2006 6:02 PM

Weird indeed.

Shae at April 26, 2006 6:47 PM

Kvasir's beginning is evocative...
not sure what to say about the middle two panels.
I guess shell5058's is an unintentional Fresh Keanu.
Scanner Darkly is a great looking trailer - correct, Billporter.
I feel a bit sorry for Maria P, who has transitioned so well, and put a lot into her slice.
Lilah, lilah, lilah. sigh.
These chopped up results can be demoralising.

AndyFromJava at April 26, 2006 7:42 PM

Yes, Lilah's transition is distracting, but you know what? The artwork itself is incredibly intriguing. It took me probably four glances before I identified it as a woman's torso. Pretty cool.

"Bon-dyage!" LMAO:D
