Yay.... I love this corpse!!!

shell5058 at March 10, 2006 7:57 AM

Wow, yay, I've been SOOOOO anxious to see what happened with this. I love that not only the space thing continued-all the way to an earthly horizon, but the micro/macro-cosm brings in binary-infused flowers and ancient god/goddesses include space monkeys and the beloved Spock.
Again, wow, and thanks for letting me play.

cirun at March 10, 2006 8:16 AM

What a great corpse! Flying things in every panel! I love how it ends on an upside-down sky, I love the Spock head and the stars behind it, and I frickin' LOVE the chimp in the rocket!

Jim at March 10, 2006 8:18 AM

cool! wowo the cosmos/airbound vehicles all the way through! nice work!

yistergirl at March 10, 2006 8:24 AM

Way Kool!!

Wild........ at March 10, 2006 9:07 AM

Very cool, indeed! =)

Crucibelle at March 10, 2006 9:25 AM

I want this poster-sized; and I want it NOW!

You guys rock!

FogBaron at March 10, 2006 9:53 AM

*high five*
this is awesome!
Spoktakular...aah! thats great!!
I agree with Jim, the chimp is the bestest part.

cricket at March 10, 2006 10:09 AM

wait, that looks wrong.
i agree with Jim that i "LOVE the chimp in the rocket!"
and for ME its the bestest part.
ok.
clarification is awesome.

cricket at March 10, 2006 10:10 AM

Wow. This is unquestionably the most outstanding debut I've ever seen -- three new corpsers, and spectacular ones at that.

Welcome Cirun, pipeDream, and sanktjohanser!

Beautiful from top to bottom and all the way around. I'll be feeding on this for most of the day.

Miroje at March 10, 2006 11:39 AM

One of the amazing things is that Shell5058 is the veteran corpser with four posted. The other three players are all first-timers. Wunderkinder in the house.

The whole thing is completely fab. I'm especially drawn to the Osiris/Minoan snake goddess/nebula tableau with DNA strands (reechoed in the sunflower binary code?). The second panel is fantastic as well, and great fun.

And I for one would love to spend a sunny day in Leonard's Spocktacular garden, watching the blimps and starships, and listen to him sing "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins", talk about the world's great enigmas, and the deals at Priceline.

It is still good and it is still one, indeed.

Cicada at March 10, 2006 11:48 AM

"'Ballad of Bilbo Baggins'? What the hell is that Cicada talking about now?"

http://www.alteringtime.com/features/misc/?p=baggins

Nimoy fans, and foes, you must visit the above link. I'd heard the song but the video is freakin' hilarious.

Cicada at March 10, 2006 12:12 PM

Not that! ug. Cant you leave the man alone? he's running a little short, OK? it's a phase! we all have things in the past! Let sleeping dogs lie!

haha [slash treckie]

love the corpse and Spock looks funny!

Zounds Padang at March 10, 2006 12:33 PM

Hey, I have nothing but respect for Leonard Nimoy, just for "In Search Of" alone.

Cicada at March 10, 2006 12:44 PM

hahahahahahahahahaahaha... that's marvelous !! :o))
thanks for the link!

tony at March 10, 2006 1:06 PM

That is some powerful riotous pink-orange-yellow mojo working up there! I'm going to print this out and carry it in my pocket for those moments when an incurable giggle fit would come in handy - like later on today, when I confront my addled ass of a landlady. Thanks, guys.

Jessica at March 10, 2006 2:47 PM

I've been away so long and I come back to this. stunning!

me at March 10, 2006 5:09 PM

I now officially feel a part of the Ex Corp community. Thanks to everyone for their comments.

It was really an amazing experience to see this. I had no idea that there was an astral theme to the previous slices, let alone another spaceship! and another planet! I had a hunch about the floral thing but wasn't sure. So this is what it feels like to be a part of the collective conscience?

I also want to congratulate my fellow corpsers on an amazing group effort. Not to float out own boat, but not bad for a few newcomers.

Was hoping to have done better on the seam, but as they say... practice makes perfect. So uh... send me more!

sanktjohanser at March 10, 2006 5:19 PM

sanktjohanser, don't worry about the seams. you did a marvelous job on your transition. i absolutely love the flower-to-jupiter thing, especially considering the confusing slice you were given (sorry).

to everybody, great work. i'm happy to have worked with you.

pipeDream at March 10, 2006 5:31 PM

sanktjohanser: this is what it feels like to be part of the collective unconscious. Almost no one here has a conscience, collective or otherwise.

Phineas at March 10, 2006 5:36 PM

No conscience...*giggle*
I am truly impressed and inspired by this venutre. I was SOOO relieved to get to start my first one, less pressure than the other two newcomers who had to 'hear' me. And SOOO relieved that we got on so well. This thing rocks!
Thanks for the welcoming and loving responses, everyone!
Now I can truly say I'm proud of my corpse. My corpse is HOT, my corpse is blended with other corpses, making an incredible collective corpse and it's not even gross.

cirun at March 10, 2006 7:24 PM

By the way, Cicada, how scary IS it that you recognized my Minoan snake goddess, for goodness' sake?! Thanks so much for seeing it all.

cirun at March 10, 2006 7:26 PM

Oh, I'm really interested in Minoan art, such naturalism so early in history. Now if I could ID the pre-Raphalite cherubs in the border, that would be scary. You know, it is actually possible that I first learned of the Minoans when I was a little kid watching "In Search Of" with Leonard Nimoy...hmmm...

Cicada at March 10, 2006 8:45 PM

I know I grokked onto the minoan goddess when I was a wee one reading about greek mythology and I liked the bare breastesses. It made me feel funny. I also loved the In Search of shows. I was all into that Van Daniken, Velikovsky Fortiean Phenoemana stuff. Although I was into Scifi as a kid and did catch a little Star Trek here and there, I didn't really get into ST until I was into college. And the first thing I ever did when I got onto the web was join a Star Trek simulation group as a crew member aboard the Starship Saragossa. I'll shut up now.

Sein und Zeit at March 10, 2006 9:14 PM

and oh yeah, this corpse kicks ass.

Sein und Zeit at March 10, 2006 9:35 PM

That sure is some crazy sh*t!
All those modes of transportation, and the link between the cosmos and flowers is so trippy.

ryan noel at March 11, 2006 1:42 AM

fukin a.This is the kind of corpse I like to see... the seems aren't the greatest but it's a really minor detail, for this one. Psychadelic.Love it.

billporter at March 11, 2006 2:32 AM

WOW!!! I love it!

MetalEar at March 11, 2006 5:21 AM

Very psychedelic, and pretty. Pipedream's rocketing chimp is a yummy looking slice. Great!
