Oh my god. Beautiful. Achingly beautiful. damselfly, Crucibelle and Cristine, I am in awe.

That's the prettiest nuclear winter ever.
thekeyofsee at March 18, 2006 10:38 AM
interesting, a 2nd comic themed corpse in a row.
nice. superb job everyone!
Sein und Zeit at March 18, 2006 10:56 AM
again Cicada with the panel full of stuff and yet it's not an eyesore. Good job all around folks.
billporter at March 18, 2006 10:57 AM
Cicada, where is Fafnir?
Sein und Zeit at March 18, 2006 10:58 AM
He's behind the cathedral...
Super heroes are the new outer space.
Bill, thank you. My aesthetic tends toward busy so I try to be very artful in my compositions. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. In fact much of what I do is downright Lilliputian, so I've made efforts on my very, very latest corpse projects to work larger.
I still can't get over the transitions in this. Brings tears of joy to my eyes.
Cicada at March 18, 2006 11:05 AM
Beautiful. Absolutely.
Miroje at March 18, 2006 11:23 AM
I'm gonna have to go with damselfly being a total hero on this one. Not only did they pull off a very difficult transition, they also set the magical tone for the rest of the corpse. And to Crucibelle and Cristine for showing restraint and sticking with the scheme they were given. It's so nice!
chase the light at March 18, 2006 11:51 AM
Wow, very nice all.
I nominate damselfly's transtion for the Transtion Hall of Fame. Cicade handed off a strip horrific in its potential, but damselfly handled it beautifully. Just superb.
doctormatt at March 18, 2006 12:33 PM
I also would like to suggest changing the name of the hall of fame to *Transition* Hall of Fame. Just makes more sense.
doctormatt at March 18, 2006 12:34 PM
Oh wow this is just lovely. We have classic Cicada at the top followed by some of the smoothest and coherent corpsing for a long time. Well done all involved!
droozle at March 18, 2006 1:45 PM
Oh no, I gave the horse flippers!! :/
Crucibelle at March 18, 2006 1:46 PM
The colour palette stays constant throughout the lower three--it's absolutely beautiful
*It's like the winter at the top melting and blooming into the early stages of spring. Wow
ryan noel at March 18, 2006 2:14 PM
Flippers...Mmm. Too cute.
Horribly amputated legs! Oh yes! :)
Miroje at March 18, 2006 4:05 PM

Stunning!

Truly amazing. Ditto chase's comment. The true potential of this unique website has been realized. Thank you Cicada, damselfly, Crucibelle, Cristine & Phineas!
jakedrews at March 19, 2006 6:39 AM
Wow! I was eager to see how this would come out. I had no idea what I was working with so I just winged it. Crucibelle and Cristine - beautiful follow throughs! Thanks to those who gave the thumbs-up.
damselfly at March 19, 2006 5:46 PM
I'll be damned if I can find a single seam -- and I know where to look. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
murfinator at March 19, 2006 6:18 PM

welcome back cristine!
this is so...AWESOME!
love the transition from 1 to 2 and really love the blue throughout the rest of the panels.
plus, im a comic book nerd...how could this not be oh so right?
cricket at March 20, 2006 11:20 AM
I would so hang this in my living room.
Attej at March 20, 2006 5:13 PM
I am really stunned by this, I only had a tiny bit to work with -so I really can't claim restraint. For some reason the bit I got reminded me of William Morris wallpaper.
Waht I love about these corpses is it is so often like tossing dice... this time we won :-)
cristine naugle at March 21, 2006 7:22 PM
