Yea, Bill, where IS he? Is this some type of DB "Where's Waldo"? I suspect he's doing something nasty behind the trellis. C'mon, give us a hint.

I did a bad thing!
Sein und Zeit at February 27, 2006 8:45 AM
I like the kinda Psycho scene at the top and how there is kinda this watery feel all the way through.
Interesting.
Zounds Padang at February 27, 2006 10:34 AM
very beautiful. I note that there is still a vaguely sinister miasma in the air, Bill, so even if DB is gone, his spirit remains.
I think some might say you did "a bad thing" s&z, but I disagree. Do you really think you did bad or are you making a joke? Your slice is very well connected, it feels like fine-tuning a receiver until we get the picture of the geodesic globes (not to mention Her Globes)swimming through the haze.

I love it, and I could probably take a stab at saying why that is, but I think it all speaks for itself better than I would. Very sharp. Good work by all. The bottom two panels are absolutely gorgeous.

OK, then, what's with the double "where?" It's spooking me out.

I'd vote this 'best title for ages'. Nice work all round.
droozle at February 27, 2006 1:59 PM
The title is like the disjointed internal dialogue of a troubled man who stands at the window and muses as he is Reaching Towards...The Gate, "Where's that bridge? Where is he?"
Something to cross over; something to pass through...
And BTW, BP: If she is to become your new icon, you'll get no argument from me. Golden globes, indeed.

Hahaa! Diarrhea Boy is still there :) You can hide but you can't run ;D
There is something in this piece I like, but I can't quite put my finger on it... maybe it's the overall chaos of it, or perhaps - like burnunit said - the sinister miasma that looms over the entire piece, making it rather unhealthy and malevolent in whole.

I *almost* say I can see him - but I'm not sure. If it *is* him, he's a new version of DB. (in Bill's panel, to the bottom right) because he's not completely sideways.
However, I won't definitely say that's him - because it's so well hidden I'm not sure if my eyes aren't playing tricks on me!
Otherwise WONDERFUL corpse :)

"Hahaa! Diarrhea Boy is still there :) You can hide but you can't run ;D"
ROTFLMAO!
Actually, isn't DB all about running?

I wasn't given an email saying this one was done! what a load of crap. Nice piece overall though. Wierd title. I like.
billporter at February 28, 2006 12:23 PM
you are seeing things Shelley. He's not in the right hand corner. He's there.... just VERY tiny.
billporter at February 28, 2006 12:36 PM
I see DB. He's about 50 pixels to the right of the woman's elbow, maybe an inch to the right of the left edge, right at the transition point on top of the yellow apple globe thing. He's a little grey speck with black hair.

Bill: You're beginning to scare me...

I must have been drunk the last time I posted. Good job callin' me out ANN! Damn...
