An early contender for best of 2006!

Speaking of Jazzy Jeff's, Carlton's, and Pickled Paupers...

Beautiful!

Miroje at February 18, 2006 11:12 AM

it's so beautiful, I seriously have tears in my eyes. I worked so hard on my slice and agonized and agonized about whether or not I was mis-reading those lines and feathery things but I had this sense, a feeling of angels. Now I'm seeing the top slice and I have this weird memory of Madeleine L'Engel's "A Wind in the Door" and the seraphim and the wonders of fractal mathematics and down below there's a reminder of Alfred Bester, somehow (my favoritest sf writer...maybe it was the puppet-string god/satan thing)... anyway there's this wonderful sense of holy chaos propped atop smooth clean order the whole thing works divinely and that little splash of orange off my angel's arm was actually a mistake, a scrap where a bit of the layer mask got messed up and I overlooked it and yet it's given such vivid new life down below. Just gets me coming and going! hooah!

Impressive. Now that's a Jazzy Jeff. You guys really Carlton Banked it. Amazing, deep and moving. Cool.

Kudos to all & brilliant restraint, Ann. Simplicity can add SO much to a well-composed corpse!

Exciting!

Good work- it's great.

Janus at February 19, 2006 10:40 PM

I think this is my favorite one that I've been a part of just as far as pure art elements--composition and color use, not to mention it's seamless and just overall cool! I love Colin's and burnunit's team effort of the Fractal Angel, as well as Crucibelle's Robot Hand!

Ann at February 20, 2006 9:16 AM

Just gorgeous. Fantastic work all around.
