Wow, that is gorgeous! I love it.

Very impressive. I love the transitions here and the closing panel is just stunning.
Gstar? Did you decide to take a break, or are you still about and contributing? Hoping the latter is more the case.

SWEET! I LOVE it! Now if only my moniter was tall and thin so I could use this for wallpaper!

What a fine, fine piece of work... I know at the end of 2006 this'll be one I'll consider for Corpse of the Year.

It is rather nice. I especially like the elongated man, that works amazingly well. The insertion of color in the third and fourth panels is very successful compositionally. I would love to know more about some of the elements of this corpse. Gstar, what was the source for the very interesting figures in your panel? Jennifer, is the man who starts in your panel someone we would recognize? Your title suggests Jules Verne. Excellent work by all the players.

Sorry, I meant to write Jessica. I wish we could edit these posts. Sorry about that.

Yes. The more I look at this one, the more intrigued I am with it.
I love the tearing between GoodnightBrian and Ivan and the variously placed characters (both people and letters).
This is truly...an exquisite corpse.

Ok, here goes:
The figures in the first slice are walking on the tiptoes that are mentioned in the title of the fourth slice. The figure on the left in the first slice shows aspects of being native to the tropics which appear in the second slice. The title of the second slcie speaks of journeying, but "transit" is mentioned in the third slice. A world of color is exposed behind the torn pages of black and white; and who is this man that transcends both realms so nonchalantly?
You guys were really "on".
Exquisite, indeed.

I'm glad my first corpse turned out so well. Good job to all three of you. I love how impossible the depth perception is on the whole thing, especially in the top left section. I was a little worried about introducing some color. I'm glad Ivan decided to stay with very muted tones. Again, great work everyone =D I'll deffinitely be doing another.

Also. Just noticed this but all four seasons are represented here. leaves falling off of trees at the top. Summery palm trees n the middle. Words speaking of snow and winter; and spring roses in the bottom right.
GoodnightBrian at February 14, 2006 5:15 PM
This is stunning. Excellent all around.

It keeps me looking to find more inside of it. Keeps drawing me back. It's a Great Corpse!

..."It's All Four Seasons in One Corpse"...(Didn't Sting do that?)

I'm so pleased.
That's Italo Calvino up there, peeking out from panel II.
Jessica at February 15, 2006 10:18 AM
I'm glad this worked out so well! "Cartooony" isn't usually my style but I wanted to break out and do the little guy, and it seems to have worked out.
The thing I wish I'd done better is the woodgrain left by GoodnightBrian - I swear they looked precisely like petal shapes from the swatch I got, but the color scheme seemed to work out really well in the end. I'm pleased by the way the text worked out; again, it's something I don't normally work with but I think the font and size worked out well.
I absolutely love the first three panels. The flaws I see are all mine.

gosh this is pretty... i'm impressed!

Now THIS is exciting! Very nice work, everyone. Welcome GoodnightBrian, and great debut!

Italo Calvino, eh? (revealing own ignorance)- I thought it was Al Capone.
