This may be the most cohesive title/theme I have ever seen, and the transitions from one panel to another are just amazing.

This is spectacular stuff. Wow.

Oooh, and a new contributor. Excellent start Manofredearth.

Now that we have all unwittingly viewed the corpse of "The King in Yellow" are we all cursed to madness and death?

Thanks for the kudos. I previously hand-drew that for an art class. I liked it and so scanned it in and cropped/rotated it for this. I like this piece as a whole quite a bit, the flow from one contribution to the next is great. Though I can only imagine the difficulty in making a smooth transition from ball point pen strokes to something computer illustrated...

holy HELL!
I was quite afraid that my slide would't fit...
That title is quite frankly one of the best..
Maybe the spirit of Madness, the King In Yellow Himself, connected our minds in some obscure, mythical.. way..
wow...

OH! and those delightfully fucked-up faces between my piece and that of the genius doctormatt! how fantastic indeed! :D
That looks just like a cover for the Play in question :) It's just so... mad...

Jolly Gnome at January 26, 2006 4:15 PM

I'm sorry I'm spamming, but I was wondering where doctormatt got the idea to those faces? I also thank you all for the kudos, and all other participants for their absolutely stunning work :)

Jolly Gnome at January 26, 2006 4:24 PM

Nice work, y'all.

Jolly Gnome: faces? I don't see any faces in your piece or mine, but I'm glad you like them.

cheers!

doctormatt at January 26, 2006 7:26 PM

Faces: Twisted, psychotic and definitely there.

Or...a rather revealing Rorschach; in which case: "Faces? What faces?

Very cool.....out of the chaos comes the white doves of peace.

hee. yeah, i like this one a lot. usually not a fan of text, but this time it really strengthens the cohesiveness and pulls everything together under the banner of that amazingly perfect title. three cheers for my cohorts up there... glad to be a part of this one and to have contributed at least a passable dismount. :)

Oh, should I dare say I only work in MS Paint? Lol, I'm trying Gimp, but it's taking me a while to figure it out. Until then, this and a piece I just uploaded (barely in under the wire no less) have been done solely in MS Paint. :P

Record company EMI sign a deal with the estate of crooner Dean Martin to use the singer's likeness...
