Cicada: How you possibly have known to drape my American Goth in the US flag? Is that his diplomatic corp you have assembled?

Thanks for everyone's good work on this one.

Wow, this looks great. No seams, nice colors, nice balance of detail and simplicity. Exceptional work, everyone.

I read the white shape I blended in to the flag as a star, distorted and shaded from billowing in the breeze. I was really worried about how that would look and I'm amazed at how it came out. This was only my second panel and the first to be continued off of by someone else. I realized after submitting it how difficult a transition I had left. Major kudos to the extremely talented Miss Daze. This is such a cool corpse.

Cool it is. Quite well done all!

Cicada: I love the masked assembly. Who are those people in actuality?

Miroje at January 9, 2006 11:30 AM

Yes, I gave you precious little to work with, Cicada; but you grabbed the essence of it and manipulated it to counter-balance the dominant figure in my piece by adding the collection of intriguing anthropo-morphs in yours.

I'm thinking now that they may be sitting in the jury box, with the Goth as judge?

FogBaron at January 9, 2006 11:35 AM

Excellent work everyone.

looks like marilyn manson and his friends are holding a meeting again. to discuss and diagram a tree? creepy. i like it.

They're some kind of fraternal lodge, Freemasons or something similar. I was thinking a little bit "Animal Farm" and a little bit the weird masquerade party hinted at in the history of the Overlook Hotel in "The Shining". Oh, and America of course. I didn't just want to leave a slice of an old black and white photo for who ever followed so I added in the aqueduct to create the feel of a jury box and to make an allusion to the Roman Empire.

That, is outstanding.

The Freemansons, maybe?

FogBaron at January 9, 2006 7:34 PM

HA!

Very funny, FogBaron.

The more I look at this corpse, the more I like it. A fine corpse indeed.
