An Exquisite Corpse

I could have sworn that was a ring falling into lava - the elephant trunk in the lower lefe of Gstar's section. That's what inspired my Gollum in a pool of lava. And Gstar's "lava" turns out to be a monarch butterfly wing! Luckily, the whole durn thing works together anyway. Great effort all.

Droozle: Exceptional introduction and a lovely leading panel.

Miroje at December 3, 2005 3:58 PM

2 apologies:

1. for leaving a tough transition.
2. for using a butterfly.

The title rocks though.

Droozle, the top panel is niiiiiceeee.

Gstar at December 3, 2005 5:25 PM

1. I think from the beginning, the transitions were difficult and it made for a better corpse all the way around.

2. Screw apologies.

...

And beautiful work yourself, Gstar. ;)

Miroje at December 3, 2005 5:56 PM

Nasty corpseses...plucked Schmeagle's eye, they did! We hates them!

(We loves this corpse, however!)

FogBaron at December 3, 2005 11:43 PM

It's official: team Plucked takes the gold in titling!
(Is it just me, or does that sound vaguely dirty?)

Im so pleased with this. Theres a lovely cohesion between the pieces. Just by chance I received my second corpse piece the day this got posted so Im hard at work. Fiddler, Gollum was a masterstroke!

Droozle at December 4, 2005 10:56 AM

Oh and Miroje, I love what you did with the perspective of the water.

Droozle at December 4, 2005 11:15 AM

I really think this one flows wonderfully all the way through. And Droozle, I didn't realize until Miroje's comment that this was your maiden voyage for this forum. I agree with her; your piece was excellent. For all the tough transitions provided here, I think everyone did an outstanding job. And most importantly, no apologies necessary Gstar: The best part of corpsing is misreading what you have been given to continue off of, and coming up with a surreal continuation that works.

Fiddler at December 4, 2005 11:19 AM

Really, just: cool.

Jim at December 4, 2005 6:33 PM

Look at panel 2. See Aladdin and the lamp?

Now look at panel 4. See Gollum and the fish?

Now look again.

Oh my God! Aladdin is Gollum!

Patrick Beverley at December 6, 2005 8:57 AM

This is just fucking wicked.
