Wow! Gorgeous and dreamy! What a great idea for a bottom slice, Jolly Gnome.

Nice. I like how it looks like a dream, too!

"good heavens"
-lol!

cloud_eyora at December 19, 2005 9:15 AM

Shoot. I clicked "Cancel" and Ganeesh woke up from the dream...

Will someone please put me out of my misery and tell me which song 'beyond electric skies' comes from? I'm tearing my hair out here! Love this corpse. I can imagine it on 600ft high floating billboards which pass silently over our cities.....

Droozle at December 19, 2005 1:59 PM

It's from a song? 8-O

Ann at December 19, 2005 2:31 PM

OK, just off the top of my head:

The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes"

and then there's lines in Pink Floyd's "The Final Cut" which mention "electronic eyes" and "pale blue skies" but no beyond.

But that's all I can think of at the moment.

I love you beyond electronic skies, too.

So beautiful- awesome sky-work...

swallowedbees at December 20, 2005 8:58 AM

I love the enmeshing of the spiritual and the electronic that is going on here.

Patrick Beverley at December 20, 2005 9:43 AM

It's brilliant. I'm especially drawn to the top panel which for some reason reminds me of the illustration work of Kay Nielsen:

I like this one alot! The possible story of Ganesha dreaming the organic and inorganic into being, the repeated, glowing orbs that pull the first and 3rd panels together.

Kudos to Ann & Daniel for fearlessly keeping it simple! (I think that is often a good plan, especially for middle panels.)

Also, Dr. Levi (hi!) for providing an intrigueing beginning that suggests an unseen being, later reflected in skies of the 3rd and 4th.

Lastly to J.G, for such an imaginative and lovely conclusion. Wow.

Wow, it came out quite good, being my first corpse...
Thanks all for compliments, I thought my part was rather "easy way out", but I don't recall seeing similar solutions in the previous corpses (I might be wrong, since I haven't seen all of them yet).
Lovely work from all, indeed, although I don't quite like the blue/grey-colours... Now I know what Ganesha dreams about

Jolly Gnome at December 21, 2005 6:31 AM

What about "beyond the Gray Sky" by 311? I'm SURE that's what you are thinking of...

Sorry, there are no bells a-ringing

Zounds Padang at December 22, 2005 11:46 PM

Wow! Thank you to everyone. This was so much fun. I look forward to participating more and playing with all of you.

Dr. levi at December 26, 2005 11:06 PM

A google search for "beyond electronic skies" turns up nothing but this corpse.
