I'm looking forward to redeeming myself on the next one.

Another really strong piece, fun and equally beautiful. You've got to love how the alien's long, green, translucent arm extends down to trail its odd hand in the wispy clouds, like he's taking samples of it. It's like an alien studying a fauvist's happy daydreams. Cheers.

I really like this one. Difatta, I think your panel is just fine. Although it does look like it may not have been put together properly.

I opened this in PSP and it is only 785 px long. The others are all 800 px. Can we get this fixed please?

cloud_eyora at December 6, 2005 12:57 PM

It's not a question of "fixing", per se. Participants have the option of overwriting the 15 rows they're given, instead of just adding to them. This means the final result will be 15 pixels short for each person (after the first) that took that option. Indeed, if you go back through archive, you can examples that are 800, 785, 770, and 755 pixels high.

DiFatta, your piece is beautiful, I love it! There's a tiny bit of seam, but it's not major and we all learn to hide seams more as we get more experience.

It's more than made up for by the cool artyness! Your slice is my favorite slice in this corpse. I for one would love to see more of the drawing/painting look and less computer graphic look.

Thanks Shae! I'm a painter turned graphic designer turned painter again. I plan on using my mac mostly for transition and more hand-made art.

The sharp focus and lighting on the alien's head against the soft focus of almost evrything else gives sort of a 3D effect. He/she/it appears to be coming out of my monitor.
