the first 3/4 of this corpse might be the most beautiful and compelling work i've seen for quite some time...but oh, the last quarter...
ah well, sometimes collaboration is just the berries! great job 1-3!

hooray!! time for another "cut and paste fresh prince disscusion". may i be the first to remind everybody yet again that it is just a game.
happy arguing.
honestly though 1-3 awsome!! 4 in it's own right also awsome. shame it isn't in another corpse. oh well.

Wow - this turned out better than I thought it would! I'm so glad I went "minimalist" on this one...and it *was* a tree! Yay me!
I love how my "Einstein baby" turned into a mermaid. Cool! Fantsay and science, all mixed together.
Shelly at October 7, 2005 8:00 AM
Wow. This one is absolutely stunning. My jaw dropped when the page first came up. It's beautiful!!
I think the last panel is fine too. It looks to be a first submission; and although there's some disruption in flow, I like it in itself.

I think that eexee really made an honest attempt with the last piece. It obviously would've worked much better if the blending had been more seamless, but the basic idea of continuing the colors is obviously there. It is his/her first corpse attempt, after all. And when you look at the whole corpse, I think it works very well. The dogs appear to be howling at the moon! Not sure about the end part of the title, though.
I really like the way the child on the left reaches up with the flask as if to catch something from the sky.
Ann at October 7, 2005 8:06 AM
I second what Ann said. Not only that, there's something going on in eexee's piece, it's not just a random pastiche of random clipart randomly stuck together at random.
I hope you stick with us, eexee.

Besides how was eexee supposed to know about the nighttime background? Hasfurrychildren left only a couple pixels of it over on the right. In fact piece 3 would have made a nice last piece, considering how many of the elements are gathered near the bottom, making a sort of a floor.
But I'm with Ann as well; an honest attempt, even if it doesn't come out perfectly, is better than not trying at all. And I can't believe that the 15 rows of pixels hsfurry left had the easiest textures to work with.
Panels 1-3 ARE pretty cool together. And I like panel 4 on it's own.

As soon as i uploaded my slice, i regretted it, realizing that i should've worked on it more, because i left an insane 15 pixels for even the most seasoned corpser. Also, i left absolutely NOTHING to cohesively follow through. i am very sorry, eexee that you had to follow my snafu for your first corpse.
However, in thumbnail size, eexee, your bit looks like reflective water, which works well following the meany mermaids. :)

You know, I thought the same thing (not that you left a nasty 15, HFC), but on first glance and not so close up, this corpse is amazing.
I like the wolf howling at the moon (by way of Ann) too. I didn't make that initial connection.

hi, first of all, I am from argentina, so I speek spanish and a little english (sorry if you don t understand what I write).
I found this page on the web and i realy love this game at the first time I saw it, I think is really funny y interesting.
about my piece I am sorry if it doesnt match with the first 3, but i think that if allways the 4 pieces were perfectly connected the game went bored. the interesting thing is that the 4 pieces make one awsome, extrange, beatyfull, etc.. corpse.
to finish.. it was my first corpse sow I promese that the followings will be nicer!
but please send my a 15 pixel more easy to work whit it! jajaç
ahhh thanks Miroje, Ann, Daniel, LGM, hasfurrychildren for the support...
Gracias! Chau!

I'm in an art history class right now, so I just love slice three--the merbaby is great with the shall/hair thing going on. This corpse like that earlier one with the pumpkin are perfect for October corpsing.

The last panel is so fucking great I can hardly stand to take my eyes off it.
Jim at October 7, 2005 9:37 PM
Beautiful and mystical - think the last one is like glass water holding a dream of a man taken by mermaids!
Very Strict Headmistress at October 9, 2005 4:41 AM
I also love the last piece, eexee. Getting a smoother transition takes practice so it's no big deal. And I *love* the wolves and the car and the eerie feel of it.

Gorgeous. I (heart) the last panel - rejiggered classics are usually gorgeous, and sometimes even twisted into comments all their own, but unique creative work always gets my vote.

What no ranting?
Congratulations all round, very grown up.
Sporting through and through.
We're all in agreement then, 1-3 excellent, 4 excellent, all together excellent.
Nice to see some love.
