What we have here, folks, is a new classic. It's simple, clean, and honest. So there!

murfinator at October 20, 2005 6:49 AM

yup
a classic
can't say why but it's fantastic

wotty at October 20, 2005 7:23 AM

Oh WOW!!

Wild........ at October 20, 2005 8:38 AM

The title sounds like it should be shouted by girls in tank tops and short pleated skirts: fish! united! swans reflecting! or else!

Jessica at October 20, 2005 8:53 AM

In the thumbnail view especially, the result is overwhelmingly phallic.

Very tight corpse, congrats all.

Jim at October 20, 2005 9:36 AM

Except for the fact that it's "untied" - not "united"; the cheer is awesome. (Actually, as an advocate for "catch and release", I like "Fish! Untied!" even better.)

Anyway (stepping away from my pedantic mode - sorry...) it's a great corpse with great title.

I particularly like the shadow from the string and the depth it creates.

FogBaron at October 20, 2005 9:48 AM

Thanks, FogBaron, for seeing and noting my shadow. Also that it is "untied" although both cheers are really fun.

I was anxious to see this one. It was refreshing to receive such a minimalistic slice, to create something really clean (it's so easy to overdo it with all that the software puts at our disposal), and a bit unnerving to pass on the same minute amount of clues. I almost wished I could contact Muggy to say something like "sorry" and at the same time "isn't it liberating?"

The thumbnail is rather, ummm, orgasmic.

Hey, who posted this upside-down?

Andrew at October 20, 2005 10:31 AM

Oh, gosh, that's a nice one.

amyc at October 20, 2005 11:23 AM

Very very nice, and it couldn't be more phallic if everyone tried. What a cool little development.

Beautiful simplicity that totally holds together. Instant classic indeed.

Based on contextual and behavioral factors, I believe I've identified the creature at the lower right--it's the infamous Lounges Lizardus fish...

Jess D'Zerts at October 25, 2005 10:26 AM

There is nothing about girls in tank tops and short pleated skirts except for those that see something phallic. Which I don't. Simple, clean and honest. Four stars ****

An Exquisite Corpse is a collaborative experiment in the creation of visual art through the tapping of the collective unconscious...
