It's a Sgt. Pepper Plant, a potted Paul!

mattb, your panel is STUNNING!
Zabet at August 25, 2005 8:28 AM
awesome! wow. the first three together could be a matisse painting!
...and just a constructive crit for tmbandefe - try to _continue_ what you're given, when you have the opportunity - not just stretch, fade, blend and do your own thing. don't get me wrong - your piece here is really good, and it blends rather seamlessly, but you can see how it could've kept telling the same story...

Wow. That came out great! Nice work, everyone. I especially like the way Ann introduced some depth to the piece by creating the floor.
And thanks for the props, Zabet! That's about as good as I can do, so don't expect much more out of me ;-)

bill porter at August 25, 2005 11:55 AM
This was my first corpse piece. It's great to see it in something that turned out so well as a whole!
therealbenni at August 25, 2005 1:24 PM

/me blown away

This is absolutely my favorite yet. I want this in a wall-sized poster. All four of you need to canonized!
My daughter says to tell you all that she's going to make this her new desktop.
Fiddler at August 25, 2005 5:38 PM
this couldn't be better
wotty at August 25, 2005 7:13 PM
Actually it could used a potted Dusty Springfield in the other corner.
for some reason the phrase: jai guru deva om
comes to mind.
Sein und Zeit at August 25, 2005 8:59 PM
Fiddler, do saints get paid? If so, sign me up!
I'm so in love with Ann... all of her work is so choice.
And therealbenni, I thank the CMS gods that I was matched with such an outstanding first poster. Way to go!
Though I didn't know what to make of tmbandefe's piece at first, I'm really feeling it now. It adds to the dreamlike quality of the whole. I dig it!
OK, now that I'm done sucking everyone off, I'll get back to work. I'm just a little giddy about being a part of this beautiful corpse. Can't wait for my next slice...
Cheers,
mattb

WOW!!! How cool is this???
Wild at August 25, 2005 10:59 PM
Great corpse! Not much I can add to the chorus of praise, but I like how Benni put that potted plant on the window sill, and then Ann added two more. Any comment on what suggested plants to you, Ann?
Jacob at August 26, 2005 6:18 AM
Oh, my! I just noticed the star in the last panel. Is that Paul's eye?
murfinator at August 26, 2005 6:52 AM
Jacob asked: what suggested plants to you, Ann?
Nothing from the 15 pixels. But the strip did suggest furniture, (the part just below the cushions) and where there's furniture, there's domesticity, which includes potted plants. Plus, I'm a plant nut myself. Finding a Beatle on my stems was quite a surprise, though!
Ann at August 26, 2005 7:08 AM
tmbandefe must be ecstatic ... two fuckin' solid corpse pieces up in as many days. Nice one.
Patrick Beverley at August 26, 2005 1:25 PM
