I like how my fish become strange protozoa lookin' things. :)

Wow, this is very bubblegum. But I love the consistency throughout. Simple bubblegum colored cutout shapes with details for relief. Very cool how the last two panels maintained the swimming fish/protozoa. The top panel makes me think of Fandango.

Not the first corpse to evoke images of childhood - but perhaps the best.*
A very consistent and affecting piece.

I really like mattb's ribbon effect.

Miss Daze at July 31, 2005 8:36 AM

Thanks, Miss Daze! I found myself wanting different tools (or better skills) to pull that effect off. Does anyone know of any decent free software that can render 3d ribbons or fabric in glorious flowing detail? I suppose I could probably just learn to use Photoshop better...

mattb at July 31, 2005 1:04 PM

Awesome. Eighme I love the artwork in your slice.

vibrant

definately vibrant

mattb, try anim8 {or anim8or} for your 3d rendering. it's free and quite easy to use (as all the documentation and a tutorial can be downloaded from the site. try a google search for it

thanks! I was so worried it would not be well received. I had spent the day drawing with my 3 and 6 year olds when I realized I was getting spanked by the CMS. This is what came out of desperation time contraint and a desire to not pay tribute (i.e. sample) to another artist. Can anyone read the hidden message?

eighmie at August 1, 2005 6:30 PM

hidden message?
hmmmm................
is it that the spice girls are reforming and touring with gwen stefani, pink and christine aguilaira ?

I can see where the message is but can't read it at this time of the morning
