This is one gooey corpse. Don't think I want to eat rice anytime soon.
Then it is a whole new being. Turns into a mechanical corpse. The shell of a robot.
So deep yet so shallow. The tinman has lost his heart. I must ponder this some more.

I love this!! Makes me feel like I'm in Frankensteins lab!

Very nice. Oddly, I think the little reversed E at the end almost makes it look more "finished," if that makes any sense.

wow. beautifully seamless and i'm loving the total lack of colour until the final panel. perfect that piece of red...well done.

That does make sense Ivan. It is almost a Chinese chop! Reads organic to mechanic.
Very Strict Headmistress at July 14, 2005 8:07 AM
That chop is there because I didn't notice I was going to be the last slice until after I'd finished, and what I'd done didn't look like a last slice. So I added a signature sort of thing to try to help cap it off. Still feels kind of top-heavy -- maybe we got the whole corpse upsidedown?
Just in terms of my own work, this is my least favorite; enclosed gave me a marvellous, clean lead-in, ripe with possibility, which somehow stumped me completely.

I feel like my piece in this one was just one big transition. Enter: clock! Anyway, nice job, everyone.
Oh, and it does look really good when turned 180 degrees.

Say what you will, Daniel; but your piece is decidedly clean, crisp and compelling to look at.
I like the "top heavy" nature of this one; it causes a certain tension.

the first panel makes me cringe.
looks like maggots.
hasfurrychildren at July 14, 2005 1:35 PM
wow
I wish I'd had a bit more of the chain link fence to bring down into my section but then my use of a fence wouldn't have been such a nice coincidence.
maybe it is a bit top heavy but it is technically brilliant. seamless transitions and a good flow.
think I'll avoid rice for a while as well LOL
wotty at July 14, 2005 5:48 PM
so... is it rice, or is it maggots? either way, ewwwwwww!
