But is it art?

D at June 15, 2005 9:17 AM

This one's pretty amusing. I like it.

Andrew at June 15, 2005 9:31 AM

Liking the gradual transition from complex to simple.

Patrick Beverley at June 15, 2005 12:09 PM

The continuity is pretty amazing in this one.

rinpoche at June 15, 2005 2:20 PM

"But is it art?" Garfunkel?

FogBaron at June 15, 2005 9:38 PM

The last panel seems busy, it has to be said.

It was never widely known that the squirrels of the Blureyel Clan were 100% responsible for the invention of road maps - but it is now!

This corpse is just one great big jolly!

The last panel seems busy, it has to be said.

And the first three aren't?

Ann at June 16, 2005 7:06 AM

I love the last piece.

This is fine corpsing on the part of all 4 players.

Shae at June 16, 2005 9:36 AM

I hope that Art doesn't touch that 3rd rail with his wet hands.

Nice one everyone.

Sein und Zeit at June 16, 2005 11:45 AM

Wow, two subway-map-themed Corpses back to back. I know the other one is from the Chicago El map, but which subway map is this one? Washington DC? London? Anybody know?

jima at June 16, 2005 2:36 PM

That would be a portion of the NYC subway system. Never leave home without it.

shinyj at June 16, 2005 3:57 PM

Ann, it was a play on the fact you used plaid, and that your slice is the least complicated of the lot, not a criticism.

D at June 17, 2005 3:48 AM

"The last panel seems busy, it has to be said."

That's not 'busy'. It's plaid, which gives the effective illusion of busy. It actually makes the other MORE busy bits of the corpse look better, like figuratively tying it all up in a bow. For anyone with Scottish blood, it's really quite an elegant end to the piece. I like it. =)

That's not Art Garfunkel. Not sure who it is, but I think I got the image from some religious website. I did a google search for images looking for a man fighting not to drown and that's what I found.

I tried to find that map in the first panel. Looked at all kinds of maps. I did find one that looked sort of like it, but the dimensions were wrong and resizing didn't help, and visually it wasn't stimulating. Ultimately I realized an old map of Cedar Point would be more amusing to merge with. It was pixel by pixel frustration to minimize the infamous flat line cut between panels, but lots of fun too. =)
