This is beautiful.

Absolutely.

Stunning - I just love the body morphing top right...the lines flow beautifully. Great corpse.
Dax at May 30, 2005 11:39 AM
Great title. I'm pleased to have been a part of this one.
jazzgillum at May 30, 2005 1:16 PM
love the gothy continuity of the first two - how the illustrated women below echo the eerie beauty of the one above, and how those legs work both upwards and down... oh, and the white rabbit weeble down below is pretty funny, too.

Oh, he totally is a weeble, isn't he? Awesome.
That assuages my "I was dying to see what the rest of her looked like and instead she's chopped off" angst, a little. That and the way that the next slice is all about the telling texttexttext, and the gift of image-I-mean-text and concept from slice 3->4. I mean. You'd almost think we were suffering a rash of title cheats.
Jessica at May 30, 2005 11:58 PM
lol @ weeble wabbit! :D
Jessica, i just could not wrap my head around what your 15 pixels were all about. after trying several ideas, i decided to go with a coupon, which "EXPIRES JULY 5TH, 2005" was included im my passed along 15 pixels. so jazzgillum did NOT cheat in any way, but simply used what s/he was given, which s/he did wonderfully.
it is sort of ironic that i did attempt to use pictures of women in victorian hats, but i just could not make that idea work.
you've voiced plenty for me to know that you don't like text in corpses, but i differ in opinion. i believe that fonts are a very valuable & interesting graphic element that can work well at times; however, not always.
but... let me ask you? is that not a font you used to create the black break betwixt the top woman & the moon? hrmm?
hasfurrychildren at May 31, 2005 12:28 PM
ps.
i do love how this corpse ties together in so many ways.
curving flowing images throughout.
the colors have continuity.
the dark gothiness of the top panel suggests a fresh corpse (as in a dead body for sale), as does the 2nd panel. use the coupon to purchase. the little 'new & improved' weeble rabbit says "hurry!! limited time offer!!"
hasfurrychildren at May 31, 2005 12:36 PM
You don't really want me to spell it out, do you? I'll bite, and call it meta meta whatever.
That's totally a font up there.
It says "texttexttext."
And the title of the panel is "you tell me."
Hyuck.
I really like Amanda's kassatsu's negative space stars-flowing-from-the-temple-hey-maybe-they're-wings thing. That and the antlers (?) wrapped around her shoulders get me to wondering what, and why, and then why that other thing, with all sorts of room for whimsical theorizing. Yay.

Excuse me for intruding .... but textextext IS TEXT, also viewed by most as graphic elements ... go back to school girl!
