hmm. kind of a shame about that first transition as the bottom 3 blend together beautifully. Love the witch-woman.

I really like the blatant break between one and two coupled with the completion of the airplane wing. I think that's a bold effort. It happens to work with the "meanwhile" in the upper left corner, making this look like a two panel comic book page. Works very well for me.

Bold effort? So I'm assuming you'd also consider *breathing* a "zest for life".

It's a half-assed effort. This would have turned out so much better had he/she put some more time into the transition, instead of falling back to the water motif cop-out. The second panel is a total waste of the first panel, which gave the second person tons to work with. PF chose to ignore most of it. If I were Phineas, I'd be pretty damn disappointed.

Panel #2 gets a D- in my book.

if you look closely, 'tite fadette actually used several other parts of the first slice, under/ reflected in the water (or plastic or whatever). You can particularly see the building and the man's leg. I agree with Zach. I think it was a bold artistic choice, not a lack of effort.
