I may have a new favourite. The colours are strikingly consistent (and beautiful) from top to bottom. And the recurring 'eye' theme successfully creeps me out!

Fishnet! That's the first thing that struck me. This is my first corpse in the recent (v. 2) Corpse incarnation (although I only had a chance to contribute to one other before v. 1 stopped asking me to corpse). I'm amazed that I only had a TINY snippet of dan121's fishnetheadwoman's neck in my 15 pixels, and it didn't influence me any at all, but somehow subconsciously, I guess, I incorporated some new gridpattern, aka "fishnet" below, and then the fishes in the last section tie in so well with it.

Also, the stoplight circular motif I must've subconsciously picked up on with my eyeballs reflecting below, and then the air bubbles in Casey's bottom part too...

It's just fascinating when these things happen.

Ann at April 19, 2005 8:09 AM

The eye theme is amazingly consistent throughout. Great colors, too.

I hate being the one that starts, tho. I think I have too much preconceived notion of how it should end....

Zabet at April 19, 2005 9:22 AM

A very feminine corpse.

rick at April 19, 2005 10:11 AM

What is it about eyeballs, open doors, and fish that makes you think feminine?

Monkey Girl at April 19, 2005 11:22 AM

With the exception of the fish, I do a get a fairly femine vibe. The painted lips on the faces in the 3rd piece make me think they are women's faces. Which would make 3 consecutive pieces featuring women. (Although I'm not sure if the person in piece 2 is a woman, he/she is clearly trying to be!)

Greg at April 19, 2005 12:48 PM

The mouths of the fish in the last section mirror the painted lips in section three.

Andrew at April 19, 2005 1:14 PM

Is it just me or are the corpses getting more and more artistic this incarnation? Damn.

And I am totally impressed with the continuity in this one. And a little creeped out.

Suzanne at April 19, 2005 2:24 PM

I woulda thought that was a five or an "S" too.

ZachsMind at April 19, 2005 3:20 PM

very tight composition, nice color -nice work, I like this!

cristine at April 19, 2005 4:39 PM

I agree with everyone! I've noticed that corpses are richer, tastier and more fun to enjoy than ever before.

This one makes me giggle :D

Ain't got no time for the jibba jabba, this corpse is so hella good - I got on the jazz and threw Murdock out of the van.

Mr. T. at April 19, 2005 6:39 PM

Glad this turned out; it was my first one.

dan121 at April 20, 2005 7:25 AM

What a smooth flow. Really nice. A pastel pop art paradise.

Excellent Job, Everyone!

Miss Daze at April 20, 2005 1:18 PM

Amazing that the tiny bit of fishnet that Dan passed on to Anna really did catch some fish. And my bubbles filtered up three floors while Zabet's lady filtered down three. Nice work!

So glad I didn't assume the V-shaped lips were actually the letter V. I don't think I'd have been as happy with how it ended had I put text there instead.

Casey at April 20, 2005 5:40 PM

What can I say that hasn't been said about this one already? The first thing that struck me was the colors. Like 'em a LOT. It also looks kinda 80s style, and that's always a winner with me. Great job people!

bluethrilldave at April 21, 2005 8:00 PM

WOW!

me like.
