Holy crap they just keep getting better and better!

Shae at April 20, 2005 6:42 AM

WOW! Really came out well. Love all the red - looks so decadent and sensual! Well done all!

MetalEar at April 20, 2005 7:04 AM

A commentary about society's demands upon women.

Shae at April 20, 2005 7:23 AM

Ha! I love the grabbing hands.

Jacob at April 20, 2005 7:30 AM

You know, these things are akin to Rorschach tests. Your interpretations are most likely unique to you and reveal a lot about what's going on in your own head. Which may or may not be something you want to share with the world.

Just sayin.

burlyq at April 20, 2005 8:34 AM

Pretty wimmins.

(Oops. First thing to pop into my head...)

HLibby at April 20, 2005 9:57 AM

Red Robot!

I love it.

tubby at April 20, 2005 10:34 AM

omg! Red Robot!!! Kill all hu-mans!!!

Zabet at April 20, 2005 10:45 AM

Oh, someone already said that... I really should read ALL the comments before I post one myself. :)

Zabet at April 20, 2005 10:46 AM

So the school psychiatrist showed me an inkblot and said, "Emo, what does this look like?" and I said, "It looks like Rorshack #47 for manic depressives."

Emo Philips at April 20, 2005 2:46 PM

hmmm... not sure what it is, the girl in the first piece reminds me a little of will smith... how odd...

unapologetic at April 20, 2005 3:35 PM

I need to remember to start working more red into the corpses I work on. The red ones always come out striking, no matter what else is going on. I think I use too much purple and black in mine. I'm sure a shrink would have something to say about color choices.

ZachsMind at April 20, 2005 4:36 PM

red-green colorblind...anyone else?

fractal at April 20, 2005 6:20 PM

I am horrified to see that what I thought was a white feather boa was in fact a red one, and I've given the top piece's woman extremely furry armpits.

D at April 21, 2005 2:49 AM

Piece #1 only registers about 0.25 of a Will Smith for me. That much only in the sense that PeggyBundy didn't spend a lot of time (I assume) stretching that image to fit the space. But it's not like there was another piece that it could have collaborated better with...

Jacob at April 21, 2005 9:03 AM

One other comment - I think the success of the first piece is really about how well the next person is able to use it and work with it...and in this case, it really works well, I think. So, maybe PeggyBundy didn't spend a lot of time actually putting this image into the space, but selecting this image definitely worked out in most respects, don't you think?

Jacob at April 21, 2005 9:05 AM

Hey, when you go first, you go first. Everyone else follows. PeggyBundy obviously left something to work with or AcerbiaDave wouldn't have been able to run with it.

HLibby at April 21, 2005 9:57 AM

I agree, HLibby. Going first is different from every other position, so the "rules" should be different.

Jacob at April 21, 2005 11:17 AM

Very generous view, Jacob and Libby. I actually think the first image was less about choice and more about lack of understanding of the game, but hey... glad it worked out.

burlyq at April 21, 2005 11:21 AM

Whatever.

HLibby at April 21, 2005 4:46 PM

obviously, the first piece worked - but in my mind that's only because of what AcerbiaDave did with it. In one sense, anything goes for the first piece, and i'm not saying that's wrong - it's just that so many of us put a lot of time and effort and imagination into our pieces, and it's a little diappointing when someone bunts like that, you know?

unapologetic at April 21, 2005 5:35 PM

It's a lot like life that way...

HLibby at April 21, 2005 7:17 PM

Good point Unapologetic. I think you know how intensely I fret about the effort that goes into collaborating with the other participants, but yeah, the effort issue is a valid one too. Like I said, I do get a bit of a "Will Smith" from that, but I do think the rules are different in the first piece.

Jacob at April 21, 2005 8:13 PM

Oh, yeah, and absolutely - AcerbiaDave's piece is great!

Jacob at April 21, 2005 8:14 PM

Everyone loves a semi-naked woman wrapped in furs.

D at April 22, 2005 2:46 AM

Actually, I thought that part was schlocky. =) But I thought you did a good job blending with the previous piece, and I really liked the way you turned the red into a shiny sheet being pulled at by little hands, like I said before.

Jacob at April 22, 2005 8:05 AM

My apologies to everyone if I did not do the corpse properly.

I was kicked off of An Exquisite Corpse for that reason ... and asked for guidance as to what i SHOULD be doing.

Alas; never got it.

Have fun, all :)
