Sara and Michael: 2 navels on one body is creepy. The rest of the medical-religious-war imagery is creepy, but that's really creepy.
Very cohesive. I like it. I vote 'yes'.

Also, the title is eerily coherent. I like how the beginning and ending titles mirror each other.

yay! finally, the end result! {g} i was worried that i made my panel too busy, but it fits nicely. a pretty seamless hospital nightmare. (by the way, there's an h on my name :))

I love the Mars Attacks conehead.
And the title is sublime.

I believe Simon actually incorporated my 15px strip into his piece, so phin, if you move Simon's section up 15px it should look better.
well done everyone!

Nice.

Lots of things to like, including some superlative seamwork! It took me a minute to find the Sara-Michael transition, as well.
Seems everyone was majorly into exposing what's under our skins in this one - skulls, brains, a giant heart. Some very nice compositioning in Simon's panel - mushroom cloud and cloudy skull echoing the shape of our cerebral friend on the right. Well done, all.

Well! This is my first attempt and I thought I would never see the end result... this one took us a long time to finish.
It's a great experience to see the whole thing and try to figure out how ones work affects the following.
Next time I hope to have someone before me passing on a 15 pixel high strip of inspiration.
On the whole, I think it's quite interesting: rich on themes and imagery and smooth on transitions. And topped with a great title.
Hurray!

Words this makes me think of:
Rich. Thick. Knotty. Perilous. Sublime. Fluid. Graceful.
Fabulous job, my dears. Simply fabulous!

I was surprised to see this up, and more surprised to see that it works pretty well as a whole - congratulations and thanks all.
Love the positioning of the heart, I think it anchors everything.
I really rushed my panel out (even though I held on to it over a week; soooo busy with work) - thus the use of the Great Hider of Sloppiness Noise Filter. I did indeed incorporate the previous strip, so moving it 15px up should give a better blend I think. I didn't make any attempt at continuiity on the far right; I had no idea what Michael had put there, and after seeing what it actually is, I don't feel too bad for not being able to guess!
While not the first panel I've done, this is the first that has gone up. I hope that explains my wordiness in this post.. All in all, it was a welcome diversion from my programming work. Maybe I'll get around to redesigning my website once I've finished moving hosts..

michael at July 18, 2002 9:06 PM
Ok, sorry Michael. Finally fixed it. I need to pay better attention to the comments after I put these things up...
