Are you sure that's an arm?

Very nice -- the most abstract Corpse yet. I think we have patron saint Miro to thank for this one.

Ver cool. Amanda nicked the butterfly off the Cure site :) Which is briiliant - I doubt anyone else would reconise that - but it gives a different level of meaning to me. I didn't even relise you had the picture of Robert and the Bloodflower until I looked again, my eye was drawn to the butterfly. Interesting! Heh I'll leave out a Freudian interpretation - but I think Amanda may have a thing for rock stars ;) Has anyone else noticed how many butterflies we've had? At least 3 or 4. And in Mexico, many believe butterflies to represent the souls of the dead. Scorpion, Elizabeth, Koi, Ladybug, Jaguar! Facinating images in this one. Ed made the water grass and casey picked up on that as grass and brought things back above-ground. Very cool the way things came together.

No, that's not my skin, nor is it an arm at all. Looking at grass and ladybug I free-associated pubic hair and leopard spots (note to self: see a therapist soon), and worked from there. There's definitely a lot of animal energy in this one, and Sarah and Ed earn psychic points for picking up on the insect vibe from Amanda. I also like the variety of techniques here, from hard cut-out (almost 'zine like) edges and photo manipulation to painterly washes and crayon strokes.

And I can't help but look at the suit of armor with the fish and think of Monty Python. *thwap!*

I really dig the crayon texture to the koi pond.

never in a million years would I have thought to look on the Cure site for insect images...
