Not to detract attention from any corpse that has come before it, but I think this may just be the masterpiece we've all been secretly hoping this little project of the collective unconscious would kick out. Frankly, I would be thrilled if we could ever knock a better corpse than this one out. In my opinion, it's nothing short of brilliant: take for example the contrasting color schemas of the top two and bottom two panels, the remarkable, truly flawless panel-to-panel blending, the balanced use of positive and negative space (as well as texture, foreground, and middleground), and the delicious use of a drumstick in the last panel. Not to mention the appearance of WTC Guy in Panel 2 (so glad to see that he's making all sorts of internet appearances post mortem!)... It's hypnotic, I say! Magically delicious - something you can really sink your teeth into.

Nightmarish whimsy! The bottom half looks like a noirish crime scene -- dripping blood, body parts, handprints. The lipsticked mouth of the mysterious woman who double-crossed our unfortunate tourist (o, cruel fate!). And, of course, the drumstick.
I love the exhaled-smoke skull.

This is amazing. I scrolled down bit-by-bit, waiting (dreading) the panel that would break the streak of brilliance and liquid beauty.
It never happened.

Brilliant! This one not only has certain edifying qualities, but it is nearly edible as well. I also see all the holidays in this. Thanksgiving, Halloween, Valentines Day, Christmas and even New Years. The finest corpse I've seen emerge from this experiment. The collective genius shines brightly.

God. Wow. I'm almost speechless (but you all know better.)
Phineas. I JUST sent my slice to you last night. I can imagine your eyeballs popping out of their sockets (no pun intended) as you assembled the thing.
The floating eyeball, sunglassed eyes, empty sockets in 3 different panels. The skeleton leaf, skeleton wings & buildings (astonishing continuations), and skeleton-skeleton, also in 3 different panels. The return, in #3, of the grey-tinged blue from #1 without prompting...
My panel (#4) might not have fit, as it's largely an exploration of oral fixations, but for Phineas' smearing his skulls mouths with what looks like chocolate, which dripped deliciously down, down, down.
I might have to download this for my desktop, if that's cool. Deeply honored to be among you, as usual.

I have to agree that this is my favorite corpse so far. It amazes me how well the colors match throughout the piece.
Now my only question is: Where can I buy a print?

A corpse that defines the word exquisite. Hot and cold. Death and uncertainty. Decadent wonder. The unblinking eye observing all. A falling leaf of the first panel, symbolizing and echoing the death that is revealed in the third panel. What lies beneath stems from what we consume. One is what one eats. The recklessness of youth. I truly love this one. It belongs on a wall in a museum. Gasp-inducing. Breathtaking.
